Add players
Open Roster from the team nav. Add one player at a time with a name (plus an optional short name, gender, jersey number, and position), or use Bulk add (paste or CSV) to add a whole list at once.
Bulk add accepts one player per line. You can paste names alone, or include more fields comma-separated in this order: Full Name, Short, gender, jersey — e.g. Casey Jones, Casey, female, 7. You can also upload a CSV in the same shape.
Numbers, positions, and roles
- Jersey # — optional, unique per active player so two people on the field don’t share a number.
- Position — Handler, Cutter, or Hybrid (or leave unset).
- Short name — used wherever space is tight (the live logger’s player chips, dense tables). Defaults to the first name if you leave it blank.
- Roles — flag captains, coaches, and spirit captains.
Edit any of these later from the player’s row on the Roster page.
Active vs inactive — big rosters & practice squads
Each player is either active or inactive. From the … menu on a player’s row, choose Deactivate (or Activate). Inactive players drop out of the active list and aren’t offered when you’re picking a line — but their history and stats are untouched.
That’s how you handle a roster bigger than any single event: keep everyone on the team, and deactivate the people who aren’t currently playing — a practice-squad player, a season-ending injury, someone between tournaments. Toggle the Active only filter to focus the list. For a one-off game where only some of the active squad showed up, you don’t need to deactivate anyone — just use Who’s here today in the logger to pick who’s present for that game.
Deactivate vs delete
Deactivate is almost always what you want — it hides a player without losing anything they did. Delete (also in the … menu) is for a player you added by mistake. Reach for deactivate to preserve a former player’s contributions in your history and analytics.
